    Celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday!

Dr. Seuss – who was born Theodor Seuss Geisel – was born on this day in 1904. What better way to celebrate the birth of this man who gave us such wonderful stories loved by young and old alike – open a new movie today! Based on another Seuss classic – Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax hits the big screen today.

That’s really the move of promise for this weekend. While we are on the other side of the award season, Hollywood will slowly start cranking up the release of hopefully a better crop of movies in the weeks ahead.

New On The Big Screen This Weekend

Based on the classic Dr. Seuss tale, the animated film follows a 12 year old boy as he tries to win over a girl by attempting to discover the rare “Truffula Tree”. Along the way he comes across the title character who is protective of his forest. The voice cast features Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Betty White and musician Taylor Swift. This film is also screening in 3D.

    Project X – Rated R on 3,055 screens
Three unpopular high school seniors throw a party that quickly gets out of hand. The Hangover director Todd Phillips produced the comedy which stars Thomas Mann and Oliver Cooper.
