    Mystery Tops The Weekend Box Office

    The latest installment in the redesigned Sherlock Holmes franchise grabbed the top box office spot over the weekend. A Game of Shadows, the second Sherlock Holmes film to star Robert Downey Jr. as the famous detective sleuthed his way to the top of the box office pulling in an estimated $40 million.

    Meanwhile, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked opened in second place with the limited release Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocal which opened in IMAX and select theaters finished third.
