Two New Flicks To Choose From This Weekend

Another weekend has arrived and that means it’s time for new movies to hit the big screen.

Two new flicks debut this weekend. One on more than 3,000 screens and the second – a Rated R offering – opening on just under 3,000 screens. But when it comes to the box office numbers, a cat named Puss in Boots may stay king of the mountain by weekends end as it picks up 11 more screens and tops the list for the most screens this weekend with 3,963 in all. Time will tell if the number one movie from last weekend will stay on the top for this weekend.

    New On The Big Screen

    Tower Heist – PG-13 on 3,367 screens
Ben Stiller’s Josh is the manager of an upscale residential building in New York City where a Bernie Madoff-esque resident is under house arrest for ripping off the tower’s employees, among others. Josh teams up with a criminal – played by Eddie Murphy – to steal back money from the resident. Alan Alda, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick and Gabby Sidibe also star.

    A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas – Rated R on 2,875
In the third film in the series, John Cho’s Harold and Kal Penn’s Kumar embark on a mission to find a replacement Christmas tree for Harold’s father-in-law after the original one is accidentally destroyed. Neil Patrick Harris and Danny Trejo also star.

    Enjoy the show!
