    Steel Dancing Tops Box Office?

It’s a little early to tell as the top of the box office is still slugging out between boxing moves and dance moves. Right now Reel Steel is the number one movie – writing this post at 6am – but it could be knocked out later today when the official box office numbers come out. The Hugh Jackman robot boxing movie earned an estimated $16.3 million while the debut of the Footloose remake movie pulled in an estimated $16.1 million. That means those two movies could switch place when the official box office numbers come out later today.

The horror prequel The Thing debuted in third place while The Big Year starring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson, was pretty much a box office flop barely making it to number nine.

    Box Office Results With Estimates

    1. Real Steel – $16.3 million
    2. Footloose – $16.1 million
    3. The Thing – $8.7 million
    4. The Ides of March – $7.5 million
