    New Movies Top The Box Office

    New movies reigned supreme on the big weekend big screen. The Hugh Jackman debut of Reel Steel grabbed the number one spot pulling in slightly more than $27 million. The movie stars Jackman as a former boxer during a time in the not-so-distant future when the sport is ruled by robot fighters. He joins his estranged son to build and train a robot for a championship bout.

    Meanwhile, the new George Clooney political drama, The Ides of March debuted in second place with the country’s previous number one box office move, Dolphin Tale, sliding to the number three spot.
